Worked flint and burnt bone
‘One hundred and sixty-eight worked stone items of flint and quartz, and one burnt animal bone fragment. The worked stone items comprise: ninety-nine flakes, twenty-five scrapers, sixteen utilised flakes, seven blades, six borers, four knives, four cores, three chips, one burin, one retouched flake, one notched flake, and one split pebble. Five worked flints
‘Five items of worked flint: one end scraper of black flint/chert, one pale grey flint end scraper, one pale grey flint knife, and two flint flakes (one grey and white, and one cream-coloured). Found 19th July 1905. Mann Collection.’ -
Scraper, borer and flake

Two pounder/grinders

Mixed sherds, flint and burnt bone
‘One bag containing many small potsherds, a flint flake, a burnt animal bone fragment, a stone, and sand. The pottery is of several fabrics, including potsherds of an orange fabric from a comb-impressed Beaker or Food Vessel, and others in a dark grey gritty fabric, which is possibly Iron Age in date. Mann Collection.’ -
Six sherds
‘Six body potsherds. Five are possibly Bronze Age in date, and the sixth is possibly Medieval. Mann Collection.’ -
Two potsherds
‘One body potsherd and one base potsherd of orange gritty fabric. The body potsherd has a smoothed exterior. The base potsherd has a white mark on its interior. Mann Collection.’ -
Two rim sherds
‘Two rim sherds from different vessels. The smaller one has a flat, everted rim with a concave bevel in it, and is of an orange and grey gritty fabric. The larger one has a simple flat rim, and is also of an orange and grey gritty fabric, although its wall is much thicker than that of the other potsherd. Mann Collection.’
