NOSAS visit to Tiree in 2017

NOSAS, the North of Scotland Archaeological Society, has made several visits to Tiree, in particular, surveying all the rock art.

NM 0785 4888 A watching brief was carried out 27–28 January
2010. The work conducted on site prior to the archaeologist’s
arrival had disturbed the NNW corner of a stone circle and a
possible enclosure.

Inter-tidal structures at Milton harbour
Three inter-tidal oval stone structures to the east of the harbour are revealed at low tide. The survey was conducted by Digital Land Surveys in 2017. They are plausibly fish traps. -
